Chris Schmidt-Martin has been working as a sound designer / performer / general lacky in Cork theatre circles for the last number of years since completing a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies and English from UCC. He has designed for productions such as Martin Crimp’s The Country, Stella Fehilly’s Duck, Frank McGuiness’ Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, and was nominated for best sound design at ISDA for his original score for McGuinness’ earlier work Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme. Chris has performed with various companies in Cork, including Graffiti, Meridian, Granary Productions, UCC Dramat and Chattyboo and has just finished starring in Bare Cheek Theatre Company’s production of Rent.
