Una Kirwan graduated from UCC in 2006 with a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies. From here she went on to work with Hammergrin Theatre company playing Rosie in Tom Murphy’s The Morning After Optimism, as part of the New Director’s Festival at The Granary Theatre. Una’s theatre credits include Cloud Pictures, Is Iomai Sli and Permutations and Palpitations with Graffiti Theatre Company, Meridian Theatre Company’s Boss, Hammergrin’s Cork Midsummer Festival production of Hollander, which has been nominated for an Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Production 2010 and, most recently, Chattyboo’s Babes In The Wood. While studying, her Dramat performances included The Hostage, Comluadar and The Vagina Monologues. Film and TV credits include Aunt directed by Narayan Van Maele for I.A.D.T., Out of Tune for Sad Mantra Productions, Prime TimeMurphy’s LawCrimecall and Mixed Bag Media’s Make You Smile. She is currently in rehearsal for Meantime’s The Letter Project.
